The Dean of the College of Education for the Humanities/University of Kerbala, Professor Hadi Al-Saeedi (PhD), participated, alongside the University Vice President for Scientific Affairs and several college deans, in welcoming a delegation from the University of Isfahan, headed by Professor Asghar MontazerAl-Qa’em (PhD), as part of efforts to enhance academic cooperation and organize a joint international conference.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the preparations for the upcoming international conference titled:”The Construction, Reconstruction, and Development of HolyShrines throughout History,” which is scheduled to be held in Isfahan on October 21st, 2025, with the participation of researchers and academics from prestigious universities inside and outside Iran.
The two parties also explored avenues to expand scientific collaboration through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two universities. The MoU will cover several areas, including a visiting professor programme, joint supervision of graduate theses, and the organisation of a joint book fair.
This visit comes within the framework of strengthening academic and cultural exchange and supporting joint scientific efforts in the fields of history, architecture, and heritage.
