The College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organised a training workshop titled “The Legal Framework for Illegitimate Content on Electronic Platforms,”delivered by Asst. Lect. Aliaa Basim Mohammed Ali, targeting employees and students.
The workshop aimed to define the concept of illegitimate content, highlight the dangers of its spread, and examine its contribution to unethical behaviours that threaten social cohesion. It emphasisedthat confronting this phenomenon is a shared responsibility among all sectors—educational, media, executive, and legislative institutions, which should enact laws that keep pace with modern societal developments.
Notably, the workshop discussed the concept of illegitimatecontent, the legislative stance toward it, and measures to counter illicit content.
