College of Education for the Humanities Celebrates the Holy Qur’an and Knowledge in the Cultural-Scientific Festival “Guidance for the Righteous”

The students of the Department of History at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organised a cultural-scientific festival titled “Guidance for the Righteous”, under the supervision of the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Mohammed Mahdi Al-Shubairi(PhD), and the coordinator, Lect. Haidar Abdulhussein (PhD), as well as Prof. Falah Hassan Kazzar(PhD), and Lect. Salam Salman Al-Rubai’ee(PhD).

The festival opened with a blessed recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Lect. Salam Salman Al-Rubai’ee(PhD), followed by the recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs of Iraq and departed scholars.

The event included various segments such as: a speech delivered by the students, poetry and devotional chanting, and an interactive cultural competition, with questions inspired by the Qur’an, held between the morning and evening studies.

The festival concluded with the distribution of valuable gifts, including copies of the Holy Qur’an and academic books, presented by the “Hope Makers Team” to participating students.

It is important to note that attendees expressed their appreciation for this meaningful initiative that beautifully combined the light of the Qur’an with the importance of knowledge and learning within the academic environment of the college.
