As part of efforts to expand the knowledge base and benefit from scientific expertise with reputable local, Arab, and international institutions, Professor Mark Weeden from University College London, accompanied by Dr. Aba therRahi Al-Zaidi from the University of Wasit, visited the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbala.

They were received by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr.Hadi Al-Saeedi, along with the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, heads of academic departments, a number of instructors, and students.

The meeting emphasized key recommendations, notably the establishment of a Centre for Archaeological and Historical Studies and a University Civilization Museum. These initiatives aim to serve as a foundation for expanding towards global engagement and collaboration with international universities and research centres, thereby broadening the scope of academic, scientific, and knowledge-based cooperation.

It is worth noting that these activities contribute to achieving one of the sustainable development goals, specifically goal 17: The Partnership for Achieving the Goals.
