As part of the coordination, cooperation, and exchange of academic and research expertise between the College of Education for the Humanities at the University of Kerbalaand international universities, the Department of History has organized a scientific seminar titled
“The Fields of Tell Al-Wilayah from the Perspective of Cuneiform Sources.”
The seminar was presented by Professor Mark Weedenfrom UCL (University College London) and Dr. Aba therRahi Al-Zaidi from the University of Wasit. The seminarwas moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Naeem Abd Joudeh.
The seminar has addressed the significance of the Tell Al-Wilayah archaeological site and discussed the upcoming publication project of the excavation results at Tell Al-Wilayah, which will be released in both Arabic and English.
These seminars align with the college’s efforts to strengthen international cooperation and exchange expertise with globally renowned universities, in line with the vision of the university of supporting scientific research and enhancing international academic partnerships.
It is worth noting that such seminars contribute to achieving one of the sustainable development goals, namely goal 17: The Partnership for Achieving the Goals.
