The Minister of Higher Education Honours the Mothers of Martyrs, the Women of Iraqi Sacrifice

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honoured the mothers of martyrs, the women symbolizing Iraqi sacrifice.

This took place during the events of the Forum for the Integration of Women into the Labour Market, held at Al-Shaheed Al-Hakeem Hall at the University of Baghdad. In his speech, the Minister emphasized that Iraqi women have made significant and influential contributions across all fields and have endured crises under all circumstances. He pointed out that the Iraqi Constitution provides a supportive environment for the development of women’s status and their integration within family and society. It also reinforces the principles that summarize a history and reality of virtue, dignity, and the preservation of identity and behaviour, as established by the Holy Qur’an, which serves as a foundational source for legislative and procedural frameworks.

He further explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is confidently advancing its efforts to support academic programs that highlight the unique role of women, strengthen their fields in teaching, skills development, and community service.

The forum’s activities included official speeches and presentations of several success stories, with the participation of a large number of faculty, administrative staff, and female students from the College of Education for Women at the University of Baghdad.
