The Department of Arabic Language, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for the Humanities, organized a scientific course entitled “The Quranic Script of the Hamza between the Iraqi and Egyptian Scientific Academy.” Lecturers included: Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahoud ThabanYousef Al-Asadi and Asst. Prof. Dr. Qusay ThabanYousef Al-Asadi.
The course aimed to regulate the Script of the Hamza in official administrative correspondence and develop the writing skills of administrators.
The course included several topics, most notably: correcting common errors in writing the Hamza. The course also clarified the differences between some of the Scripts used by the Iraqi and Egyptian Scientific Academy and the Quranic Script. It also examined the forms of Scripting the Hamza at the beginning, middle, and end of words. The course concluded with a test for all participants.
