The Department of Applied Geography at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, organised an awareness course titled “Environmental Pollution and Its Impact on Human Health.” And delivered by Asst. Prof. Israa Talib Al-Rubaie(PhD), Lect. Hani Jabir Al-Masoudi (PhD), and Lect.Malik Raheem Al-Hasmouti(PhD). The course targetedundergraduate students in the department.
Moreover, the course aimed to raise awareness about the problem of pollution and highlight its effects on human societies, while also encouraging environmentally responsible behaviour such as recycling, reducing pollutants, and relying on renewable energy sources.
Finally, the course included key topics, among which was defining pollution and its various types, sources, and consequences, as well as discussing proposed solutions to address environmental pollution.
