In Cooperation with the Legal Affairs Department… College of Education for the Humanities Organizes a Workshop on the Rights and Duties of Public Sector Employees

In pursuit of shared goals and the development of effective strategies to uphold order, respect, productivity, equality, and justice within the work environment, the Legal Affairs Division at the College of Education for the Humanities, University of Kerbala, in cooperation with the University’s Legal Affairs Department, organized a legal workshop entitled “A Detailed Explanation of the State and Public Sector Employees’ Discipline Law No. 14 of 1991 (as amended)”.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ali Subhi Omran, Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the University Presidency, and Abeer Mohi Mustafa Al-Ta’ma, Director of the College’s Legal Affairs Division.

The workshop aimed to provide a comprehensive explanation of the amended Law No. 14 of 1991, its contents, and its implications—outlining the duties and rights of public employees, their obligations, and the penalties for violations of state institutional laws.

The workshop addressed three primary topics: the duties employees must observe within state institutions; employee rights; and administrative penalties, including methods of appealing such penalties.
