Our College and the Eid — in the Words of One of Our Creative Students

College of Education for the Humanities – University of Kerbala

A Tale of Knowledge, Light, and a Project of Renaissance

In the heart of a city inscribed in the annals of history with the ink of pure blood, stands the College of Education for the Humanities – University of Kerbala, towering like a beacon of thought and knowledge, diffusing the fragrance of learning upon a land thirsty for enlightenment, and sowing in its students the seeds of awareness to cultivate generations capable of bearing the banner of change.

Since its inception, the college has never been merely a structure of cement and stone, but rather a vibrant spirit of knowledge, a space where the dignity, thought, and identity of the Iraqi individual breathes freely. Over the years, it has evolved not just as a natural development of its organization, but as an exceptional human journey, driven by a mind that believes in knowledge as a tool of liberation, and in the human being as a supreme value.

At the heart of this academic project, the name of Dr. Hadi Al-Sa’eedi, the Dean of the College, shines as a wise captain who has steered the ship with great determination and resolve. He has not been a dean in title alone, but also a guide, a thinker, and an inspiration, bearing a vision that transcended classroom walls to the realm where ideas meet reality and principles translate into action.

Under his leadership, the college witnessed qualitative leaps in its academic programs, developed its infrastructure, and transformed from a traditional educational institution into a nurturing intellectual environment and a hub for cultural and social activities. It did not content itself with the mere transmission of knowledge, but embraced a broader mission: to shape the human being, not just to produce employees.

The college has organized countless activities: intellectual seminars, international conferences, awareness campaigns, and student initiatives that surpass the ordinary — all united in purpose towards a single goal: to mold the student into a conscious citizen, not just a degree holder.

It is impossible to speak of this college without mentioning its distinguished scholars — professors and researchers — whose names have been inscribed in the annals of Iraqi thought. They have been and remain beacons for the students and witnesses to the fact that this land, despite all its wounds, is still capable of giving birth to pure thought and humanistic vision.

Indeed, the College of Education for the Humanities – University of Kerbala, is not merely an institution, but a living testament that when education is guided by wisdom and love, it becomes a ritual of renaissance. It is not solely for the past but a gateway to the future, and its covenant with its children is this: “We grant you knowledge, and awaken within you the human being.”

Wishing you all a blessed Eid, asking Allah Almighty to grant you long life and continuous development in educational institutions.
