The Council of the College of Education for the Humanities held its 14th session for the academic year 2024–2025, chaired by the Dean

The Council was held under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Professor Hadi Al-Saeedi. The meeting was attended by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, the heads of academic departments, and the Secretary of the College Council.

The meeting began with a recitation of the holy verse of Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq. The Council then discussed several important topics, most notably: presenting a set of directives and recommendations issued by the University Council meeting, including those related to the HR and SIS systems, and emphasizing commitment to the electronic transformation and automation process pursued by the Ministry of Higher Education.

The Council also discussed the affairs of undergraduate and graduate students, particularly regarding final exams, the competitive exam, and its implementation mechanisms. It also discussed the importance of creating a suitable environment for students and ensuring optimal preparation for them. It also discussed matters related to questions and assignments.

The meeting addressed ways to enhance the College’s resources, attract international students, and expand cooperation with Iraqi and international universities in the fields of scientific research, lectures, seminars, and scholarly discussions. In a related context, the Dean commended the significant efforts made by the “Al-Baheth” Journal Unit, the Website Unit, and the Government Media and Communications Division, praising their excellence and dedication.

In conclusion of the session, the Dean of the College expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Council members for their commitment to the directives and tasks assigned to them, emphasizing the importance of working as a team to support the academic process and enhance the College’s academic standing.
