The paper, which is entitled: “Misinformation About American and British Presidential Demise: Trump and Charles III as Examples”, investigates pervasive phenomenon of misinformation concerning the alleged demise of prominent global leaders, emphasizing how such fabricated news manipulates public opinion. By adopting recent viral controversies surrounding the rumored deaths of President Donald Trump and Britain’s King Charles III as primary case studies, the study navigates the intricate linguistic mechanisms behind fake news. The core objective is to address critical inquiries regarding the deliberate employment of linguistic presuppositions to propagate misinformation. Furthermore, it seeks to uncover the precise strategies utilized to obscure factual events, identify patterns in how evidence is mystified, and pinpoint effective corrective measures.
The findings underscore the vital necessity of linguistic scrutiny, coupled with multidisciplinary approaches and strict reliance on authentic sources, to effectively dismantle digital misinformation in the modern information era.
