As part of ongoing scientific excellence of College of Education for Humanities, University of Kerbala, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ameen Awad Al-Khazai, Department of Geography, has been chosen as a peer reviewer Journal of Arid Environments which has been classified within Elsevier.
This selection is a culmination of his scientific expertise in fields of environment, geographic information systems, statistical modeling, and artificial intelligence, as he has contributed to reviewing several scientific research papers within his specialized field.
Dr. Amin Awad successfully reviewed manuscripts in journals: “Conflict and Health,” published by Springer Nature (Q1) with an impact factor 4.3, specializing in health and environmental policies and conflict; and “Journal of Arid Environments,” published by Elsevier (Q2), which focuses on studies of arid environments and vegetation development using machine learning techniques.
This achievement reflects international status of Iraqi academic expertise. Furthermore, it enhances the University prestigious international rankings, such as Shanghai and Times Higher Education rankings.
