The College of Education for the Humanities organizes a scientific seminar on the role of education in promoting women’s rights and sustainable developmentOn the sidelines of the first annual Human Rights Festival held under the slogan “Rights – A Guide to Awareness,” the College of Education for the Humanities  at the University of Kerbala organized a scientific seminar titled “The Role of Education in Promoting Women’s Rights and Sustainable Development,” featuring lectures by (Dr. Marwa Maki Jafar, Asst.Lect. Safaa Sabeih Khazal, Asst.Lect. . Mohammed Ali Razaq, and Asst.Lect.. Fatima Abdulhadi Saleh), attended by a number of faculty members and students from the college.The seminar aimed to clarify the role of education in protecting and promoting women’s rights in the context of sustainable development, and to highlight the fourth goal that guarantees the right to education.The seminar included the following topics: addressing the historical aspect and examples of educated women in Islamic history, as well as the importance of education in enhancing the role of women and empowering them economically, socially, and politically, and changing societal concepts. Additionally, it focused on developing women’s capabilities in implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Vision and highlighting the goals that guarantee women’s rights to equality and education.

The Head of the department of English receives a delegation from the Al Ain Social Care FoundationMr. Assistant Professor Dheyaa Khaleel Nayel, the esteemed Head of the English Department at the College of Education for the Humanities , received a delegation from the Al-Ain Social Care Foundation. They exchanged views on the activities that the department could undertake in collaboration with the leading social service institution. The Head of the Department emphasized the significant role the foundation plays in reducing poverty rates in the community, which is one of the seventeen sustainable development factors.For its part, the visiting delegation touched upon the institution’s significant role in serving the underprivileged segments of society and ways to provide them with a decent living.It is worth mentioning that this meeting took place on the sidelines of the seminar titled “Al-Ain Foundation: A Model of Humanitarian Giving,” which was organized by the English Department in collaboration with the foundation.

The Dean of the College of Human Education for the Humanities attends the opening of the fifth international conference of the College of Education for pure sciencesThe esteemed Dean of the College of Education for Humanities , Professor Dr. Hadi Al-Saeedi, attended the opening of the fifth national/international scientific conference of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, which was held in collaboration with Al-Hilla University and Warith Al-Anbiya University under the slogan “Pure Sciences… Constant Creativity.”The conference aimed to elevate scientific research and develop knowledge that serves the university and society, in addition to exchanging scientific expertise and familiarizing with modern fields of knowledge.For his part, the esteemed Dean of the College of Human Education congratulated the College of Education for Pure Sciences, under the management of the esteemed Dr. Hamida Aidan Salman, on the success of their conference, particularly in terms of scientific participation, excellent organization, and warm reception, wishing them further contributions and success in serving our beloved university.It is worth mentioning that the conference witnessed extensive research participation from both inside and outside Iraq, receiving 261 papers, of which the scientific committee accepted 134 after peer review. The research discussed various topics related to different sciences, including life sciences, mathematics and chemistry, physics, and computer science.
